Note from the Head
The Week that Was………
Mrs Landeryou’s class entertained parents with a lively assembly this morning; it was lovely to see the breadth of their learning – from Art and PE to Science and Design Technology – and they sang with real energy and joy. Well done!
Year 3 children are very excited about their weekly swimming this term; for some children, this is a new experience. There are some lovely displays going up around the school – please have a peek in your child’s class to see what’s new.
A small group of parents came to find out about Flipped Learning yesterday evening; some Year 6 children have commented, ‘I really think the flipped learning saved a lot of time and thought it was effective.’ ’The flipped learning helped me understand rounding a lot better. I enjoyed this lesson whilst challenging myself.’ Please talk to your child to find out what they think about it!
Cake Friday – Friday 6th February – The PTA is planning another Cake Friday sale at 3.20 p.m. on 6th February. Pupils in Years 2 and Reception are being asked to bring in cakes, cookies, flapjack etc. for sale on the day.
Parent Assemblies – It has come to our attention that, owing to the O2 visit the day before, Mrs Hammond’s class may be rather depleted for 6A’s Parent Assembly on Friday 30th January. We have therefore decided to move 6A’s class assembly to Friday 13th February.
