Note from the Head
The Week that Was………
It’s been a day of mixed emotions as I sit in my office, amidst a sea of crates and boxes, preparing for the end of term and my final day at Brampton Village Primary. I have been overwhelmed by your kind words and generous gifts and buoyed up by the positive feedback which you have given on the care and education provided by the school. Thank you very much!
It has been a joy and a privilege to serve this community and I have been greatly blessed in working with a very dedicated, hard-working and supportive staff team. I will take many happy memories with me. I am pleased to be handing the leadership of the school to Peter Allen who is a very well-respected colleague, highly praised by the school communities he has led. I am sure that you will make him as welcome as you have made me.
I will be starting two part-time jobs in September which will involve working 1.5 days a week at Cambridge University, co-ordinating the STIMULUS programme which encourages Maths, Science, Engineering and Computing students to volunteer in schools, and one day a week tutoring trainee teachers on the initial teacher training programme run by the Cambridge Teaching Schools Network.
End of term – Term finishes on Tuesday 21st July. The school will re-open on Thursday 3rd September.
