Note from the Head
It’s been another action-packed week at Brampton! The choir, orchestra and instrumental musicians performed beautifully at their spring concert on Monday; thank you to Mrs Crozier and Mrs Bryant for organising this and for rehearsing the children. On Wednesday, our cross-country running teams took part in the Cambridgeshire cross-country running championships; Mrs Lear was very proud of all our runners for giving their very best and being supportive of one another. Our Girls ‘A’ team are now the county girls’ champions and our Girls ‘B’ team came first in their category. Despite stiff competition, the boys also did well, coming 17th out of 120 teams. Well done to the runners and thank you to Mrs Lear and Paula Elliott for coaching the teams. Years 4, 5 & 6 too part in an orienteering tournament in school yesterday; house teams competed against each other in a range of challenges … the winners will be announced later! Last, but not least, we had a fabulous hat parade this morning; Reception and KS1 children showed off their wonderful millinery creations on the cat walk to rapturous applause from parents and grandparents. There was also a wonderful display of Easter baskets made by children in KS2; their creativity and artistic talents really shone through. Thank you for all your help too!!!
A special thank you to the BVSA for organising last week’s Movie Night on Friday 28th March; lots of children and parents commented on what a brilliant event it was and over £300 was raised for BVSA funds.
